Ram Shivakumar is a Professor of Economics and Strategy at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he teaches courses on microeconomics and business strategy in the MBA and Executive MBA programs.
He has also taught short courses on business models, innovation and organizational economics in a dozen countries across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
He received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Madras, India, a master's degree in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago, and a PhD in economics from Indiana University.
He is an advisor to several small businesses that operate in the management consulting, health care services, financial software and informational technology sectors.
Ram is currently an editorial board member of the California Management Review.
