Giles has worked as a strategy consultant for more than a dozen years. He specializes in working closely with and providing tools to clients to uncover and target new market opportunities.
He has collaborated with leaders in business services (including engineering, environmental, IT, and financial), manufacturing, energy and high tech sectors. He has worked with Accenture, Caterpillar, PCTEL, Underwriter Laboratories, and Zebra Technologies as well with middle-market, start-up and non-profit clients.

For a $14 billion global manufacturer, supported a business unit in retooling an offering and delivery process to generate new business. Assisted client during initial implementation and early customer contact, validating the opportunity with key customers whose orders would represent a twofold increase in market penetration.
Growth via Global Expansion
For a provider of highly specialized architecture and consulting services facilitated the effort to develop and implement a market expansion strategy beyond the US into Hong Kong, North Africa, and the Middle East to drive a 50% increase in revenues from new clients.
Business Process Improvement
For a $1B high tech manufacturer, performed an industry best practices assessment of point of sale data collection and analysis. Then enabled the design and implementation of new a reporting process which mitigated revenue recognition risk and reduced operating expense.
Giles has an MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business and Masters degrees from Cambridge and Edinburgh Universities, along with his undergraduate degree from Edinburgh.
In addition to his work with the Market Strategy Group, Giles teaches post-graduate courses in Collaborative Product Development and Commercializing Innovation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
